Mike grew up in Waikato and his family was in dairy farming going back two generations. He started his career in banking with the Bank of New South Wales in Hamilton and, with the merger into Westpac, worked in banking around the North Island for 16 years. “Diverse range of roles in Putaruru, Bulls, Ruatoria, Wellington, Hamilton and Auckland has given me the experience in building relationships and understanding individual needs”.
The second part of his 33 years in the banking industry has been with the National bank including 12 years as a succesful Mobile Mortgage Manager in Auckland’s Browns Bay.
After 20 years in Auckland Mike and his wife relocated to the sunny Eastern Bay of Plenty. A passion for houses and building has seen him completing several major home renevations and looking forward to his next challenge with his wife Sandy, an architectural designer herself.
